Glee Gets Picked Up For Third Season!

Glee hasn’t even finished off its first season but Fox has already ordered a third season!

Said Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly to EW, “Everything about Glee – from the concept to the characters to the marketing – has been innovative and risky, but with [series creator] Ryan Murphy tapping into the zeitgeist, the risk has paid off with this truly remarkable series. Glee has one of the most active, devoted fan bases I’ve ever seen, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to give Gleeks a third season of their favorite show.”

Ryan added, “It’s been a whirlwind year – from shooting the pilot to performing at the White House to the concert tour that began last week – and yet we all feel like we’ve just begun this amazing musical journey. We think our Gleeks worldwide are going to love what we’ll have in store for them in seasons two and three.”

Cory Monteith talked Taylor Swift with Ellen DeGeneres on the Ellen Degeneres Show.

The “Glee” star spoke about reports claiming he and the country singing cutie are an item. Denying the reports, he said, "No, we're just friends. I don't know where the time is to date these days."

But Ellen had an opinion of her own. "You'd be a cute couple ... maybe," she said. "She's lovely," Cory replied.

Ellen then shot back, "She is lovely, and you're lovely. Two lovely people."

Getting a bit embarrassed, Cory piped in, "Stop it. Listen to her …"

Ellen then added, "Yeah, listen to me. Think about it."

Glee Tops Billboard 200 Chart

It's all about "The Power of Madonna" this week on the Billboard 200 albums chart where the soundtrack from last week's Madonna-themed episode of Fox TV's "Glee" debuts at No. 1 with 98,000 copies sold according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The Power of Madonna" is the third album release from "Glee," but the first to reach No. 1. "Glee Season One: The Music Volume 1" peaked at No. 4 last November with a 113,000 debut week and then "Volume 2" bowed (and peaked) at No. 3 the following month with 173,000 in its premiere frame. Combined, the first two volumes have now sold 1.4 million.

Cory Monteith Joins Selena Gomez In Monte Carlo

Selena Gomez is welcoming more friends in her trip to Monte Carlo — Glee’s Cory Monteith is just one of them, according to THR.

The flick, based on Jules Bass‘ book “Headhunters,” centers on a girl (Gomez) who is mistaken for a socialite, resulting in her, her best friend and her soon-to-be stepsister flying to Monte Carlo for a charity auction. The story kicks into adventure mode when a million-dollar necklace goes missing and the girls must scramble to find it.

Cory, 27, will play her football player boyfriend, who pursues her to Europe. Katie Cassidy and Leighton Meester play her two friends who join her as well. Andie MacDowell will play Selena’s mom.
